2) DOG BOWLS ( BOWLS USED IN THIS TUTORIAL WERE PURCHASED AT A DOLLAR STORE /Size 8" diameter 52 FL OZ 3" sides)

Final Product: What You Will Create

Preface:

Simple tutorial using a cutting machine to create customized dog bowls. Additional SVG designs on the Embroidery Design website to customize for all your pets in mind not just dogs for which you can apply the same tutorial steps. Including a weeding technique to help minimize vinyl waste when cutting your design when using a full vinyl sheet.*Basic knowledge of the usage of a cutting machine and how to weed vinyl for a decal is needed.

Step 1:

Gather all supplies and review instructions before beginning.

Step 2:

Bring in to your design space the SVG design Dog Bone. Rotate the design to level horizontally. Cut SVG design. Resize to fit within your side measurements of your bowl. The bowl side height used in this tutorial measured 3”. Design resized 2.1” x 4.8” to fit.

Step 3:

Duplicate the cut dog bone as one (1) will be needed for each bowl. Adding the text: Using your programs text/font feature, create the words “SLURP” and “MUNCH”.
Font used in this tutorial: AR Christy or use your favorite font. Resize words to fit into each of the bone.

Step 4:

Draw a box ( per your cutting machine’s instructions) around each design. With this technique it helps to minimize vinyl waste and provides for easier weeding when using a full vinyl sheet.

Step 5:

Place your vinyl on cutting mat. White vinyl was used for this tutorial. The sides of the bowls are black in color for which the words will show black once decal is placed. Check your cutting machine’s settings. Cut design. (Both designs will be cut at the same time) Cutting of vinyl complete. Remove cutting mat. Weed both designs for a decal. (Removing/peeling away all unwanted vinyl. ) Cut around so you just have the two decals.

Step 6:

Apply transfer tape to each decal. Remove paper backing.

Step 7:

Center and apply one of the decals to side of one of the dog bowls. Working from the center out, finger press down smoothing out any bubbles. Slowly remove transfer tape. Repeat for the other decal.

Step 8:

And your Customized Dog Bowls are complete!!! Look for additional SVG designs on the Embroidery Design website to customize pet bowls for your fur family!
