Final Product: What You Will Create

    Preface:
I love you a bushel and a peck....and a hug around the neck!  A popular verse on a comfy pillow for an extra special someone in your life.  The design is available in 4 sizes.  The largest size was used for the pillow cover.

    Step 1:
Gather the materials needed for the project.  Read the directions before starting the pillow.  Print a design template.

    Step 2:
Stiffen the 14"x14" neutral fabric piece with Terial Magic fabric stabilizer or Magic Sizing spray starch.

    Step 3:
Bond the Pellon SF101 super flex interfacing to the back of the 14"x14" fabric piece.  The SF101 will help stabilize the fabric and reduce puckering during stitching.

    Step 4:
Place the 14"x14" piece of fabric on a cutting mat.  Center the design template on the fabric.  Use the gridline on the cutting mat as guide points.

    Step 5:
Hoop one piece of tear away stabilizer.

    Step 6:
Lightly mist the stabilizer with 505 Temporary Adhesive spray.  Gently press the fabric onto the stabilizer.

    Step 7:
Load the design onto the machine.  Attach the hoop to the machine.  Check the needle size.  Embroider the design.

    Step 8:
Remove the hoop from the machine.  Gently tear away the stabilizer.

    Step 9:
Fold the fabric 1/4" down on the long side of the 10"x14" pieces of fabric.

    Step 10:
Fold over again.  Press along the seam line.  Topstitch along the edge.

    Step 11:
Place the 14"x14" piece of fabric with the right side facing up on a flat surface.

    Step 12:
Place one of the 10"x14" hemmed pieces with the right side down on the 14"x14" fabric piece.  Place the second 10"x14" piece down from the opposite end.  The pieces will overlap off center.

    Step 13:
Sew a 1/4" seam around the outer edges.  Clip the corner tips off to remove fabric bulk from the corners.

    Step 14:
Turn the pillow cover right side out.  Press around the edges on the seam lines.

    Step 15:
Iron the 2.5"x42" fabric strip.  Fold in half.  Press along the seam line.

    Step 16:
Fold the raw edges toward the center line.  Press on the fold lines.

    Step 17:
Pin the binding around the edge of the pillow cover.  Topstitch around the edges of the binding.

    Step 18:
Congrats!  You have completed 'A bushel & a peck' pillow cover!  Great job!

    Step 19:
    Awesome!

Beautiful things are made one stitch at a time...
