Final Product: What You Will Create

Preface:

Turn a store purchased eyeglass case holder into a whimsical fashion accessory for that “sassy” Mom . Using a store purchased fabric/soft eyeglass case with a zipper closure that zips/unzips from one end to the other for which will allow for easier hooping. Time stated is for making of one (1) Eyeglass Case Holder using the embroidery design: School of Life. Time allotted will also be based on the embroidery designs used.

Step 1:

Gather all supplies and review instructions before beginning.

Step 2:

Eyeglass case used in this tutorial measured 3”x 7” . Embroidery design was resized to approx. 4.5” x 2.3” to fit in the embroidering area. Resize embroidery design per your eyeglass case measurements to fit. The Artistic Suite embroidery program software was used in this tutorial to resize. If a software program is not available, edit design in machine per your machine’s instructions once design is loaded making adjustments in size.

Step 3:

Print out a paper template of embroidery design.

Step 4:

Load embroidery design in to your machine.

Step 5:

Unzip eyeglass case and center paper template. Mark axis points.

Step 6:

Hoop tear away stabilizer and mark a center cross hair and axis points. Lightly spray temporary adhesive spray onto stabilizer.

Step 7:

Center place eyeglass case atop stabilizer matching axis points. Finger press down to secure to stabilizer. Attach hoop. Confirm center needle placement. Refer to design thread color chart or use choice of thread colors. Begin the embroidering process.

Step 8:

Embroidering complete. Remove hoop. Cut and trim all jump stitches and loose thread ends. Front and back. Carefully remove stabilizer.

Step 9:

And Viola! You are done! Pretty simple right!? So let’s do another just repeat the steps! These are great for the gift giving to all your “sassy” Mom friends!
