A table runner is a great way to dress up your bare table this holiday season. A very simple tutorial with easy to follow instructions along a simple Christmas Tree embroidery design at each end.
This table runner was made for a smaller size table but if wanting a wider or longer runner, measure your table and adjust the width and length measurements necessary for your finished table runner. With this simple Christmas Trees embroidery design embroidered at each end of the table runner, it will compliment your dinnerware and holiday décor.
Step 1:
Gather all supplies and review instructions before beginning.

Step 2:
Print out embroidery design paper template for review.

Step 3:
Cut your fabric 12” x 54”. If wanting a longer or wider table runner adjust any width and length measurements necessary at this time

Step 4:
Fringe each end of your table runner. Pull the threads until you get one continuous thread that runs along the side edge. Pull enough threads so your fringe is approximately 1' in length. (If needed trim fringe to 1” in length)

Step 5:
Hem both side edges by folding down ¼”. Iron press. Fold over again. Iron press. Top stitch in place 1/8” from folded edge.

Step 6:
Find center of table runner by folding in half vertically. Fingertip press to crease. Center place your embroidery design paper template at one end of runner 3.5” up from beginning of fringe to center of embroidery design. Mark axis points using an air erasable fabric marking pen.

Step 7:
Cut a piece of tear away stabilizer and hoop. Mark axis points onto stabilizer or use your hoop markings to help center. Spray temporary adhesive spray directly onto stabilizer. Center end of table runner matching up axis points. Fingertip press to secure to stabilizer.

Step 8:
Load embroidery design into your machine. Attach hoop. Confirm center needle placement. Review embroidery design thread color chart. Begin the embroidering process. Embroidering complete. Remove hoop. Cut and trim all jump stitches and loose thread ends. Carefully remove stabilizer from back. .Repeat steps 6 through 8 to embroider design on the other end of table runner. Iron press table runner if needed.
