Description

Say "Hello To Summer" with these cute and whimsy kitchen tea towels.

Materials
  • (2) FLOUR SACK KITCHEN TEA TOWELS (PLAIN OR WITH STRIPS)
  • CUT AWAY STABILIZER
  • CHALK OR FABRIC AIR ERASE PEN
  • EMBROIDERY THREAD

    Final Product: What You Will Create

    Preface:
    Add a summer embroidery design to flour sack kitchen tea towels and dress up your kitchen for the summer.


    Step 1:
    Gather all supplies and review instructions before beginning. Time of 45 minutes is for one towel.

    Step 2:
    Print out design paper template

    Step 3:
    Load embroidery design into your machine. This design will take approximately 24 minutes to stitch out at 1000 SPM and based on your machine.

    Step 4:
    Place and center design paper template atop kitchen towel approximately 2”- 2.5” up from bottom edge. Mark vertical and horizontal axis points. Cut a piece of stabilizer larger than your hoop. Place towel on top of stabilizer and hoop. Matching up you axis points to your markings on your hoop.

    Step 5:
    Attach hoop to machine. Follow thread colors using design thread color chart. Confirm center needle placement per your machines instructions. Begin embroidering. Embroidering complete. Remove hoop from machine. Cut and trim all jump stitches and loose thread ends front and back. Cut away back stabilizer about ½” from stitched design.

    Step 6:
    Your first Summer Kitchen Tea Towel is complete! Let’s get ready to stitch out the next one and “Say Hello” to summer!
