2 x 4 ½” squares of cotton fabric

25” of lace ruffle trim

Tearaway stabilizer

4” hoop

Chosen embroidery thread colors

Final Product: What You Will Create

Step 1:

Gather the materials and read through the instructions before beginning. Have a copy of the color sequence on hand to refer to.

Step 2:

Mark the centre of one piece of the cotton squares, this indicates the centre of the embroidery design. Hoop the stabilizer and the square with the centre marked. Stitch out the design, remove the design from the hoop and tearaway the stabilizer.

Step 3:

Cut both squares into circles with a diameter of 4 ½”, ensuring that the embroidery design is centered on the embroidered piece. Pin the ruffle trim to the outer edge of the embroidered panel, with the right side of the trim face down. Stitch the trim in place.

Step 4:

Pin the backing circle ontop of the trim and pin in place, ensuring the trim is not in the way and leaving an opening at the bottom to allow you to fill the cushion. Stitch in place then turn the cushion right side out.
