    Step 2:
In either an embroidery program or on the screen on your machine, open the file then duplicate the design so you have 2 designs on screen. Flip one of the designs as a mirror image and position it so it sits close to the 1st design. This will become one stitch out. Then unpick the seam of the sleeve you wish to embroider on. Depending on the jumper style, unpick as much as needed to be able to lay the sleeve flat.

    Step 3:
Decide how far up the sleeve you want the design to go. Mark with tailor's chalk, the center line of the sleeve then mark the start/stop position of each stitch out, remembering one stitch out is 2 designs. You may then want to mark the center of each stitch out. Hoop the tearaway stabilizer and attach the hoop to your machine, then position the sleeve under your foot ensuring it is centered then use a tack down stitch to hold it in place. Stitch out the design and repeat up the sleeve for as many repeats as you wish. I have done 2 stitch outs.

    Step 4:
Stitch your sleeve back together and voila! Your sweater is complete.
