FSL Elasticized Bookmark Embroidery Project

Description

Stitch out this delicate FSL rose design, add some elastic and you have a gorgeous bookmark

Materials
  • Water dissolvable backing
  • 6 thread colors
  • 15” of 6mm elastic

  • Designs used in this project


    Step 1:
    Gather the materials and read through the instructions before beginning. Have a copy of the color sequence on hand for reference

    Step 2:
    Hoop the stabilizer and stitch out the FSL design

    Step 3:
    Unhoop the completed design then freely cut around the design. Following the instructions of the water dissolvable backing, submerge the design in water until the stabilizer dissolves, then place the design on paper towel and allow it to dry. For best results, let it dry overnight

    Step 4:
    Cut 1 x 15” piece of 6mm elastic. Or, you cut to your desired length if you have larger or smaller books. Now stitch each end of the elastic to each end of the FSL design, securing the elastic in place and forming a loop.

    Step 5:
    You have now completed an elasticized bookmark!
