Final Product: What You Will Create

Preface:

Be sure you are using a design that is intended for an applique design. It is suggested to embroider with a 2.5mm satin stitch and running stitch underneath for the edges.

Step 1:

Embroider the running stitch of the design for the outline and placement.

Step 2:

Cut a piece of the Reflectra Stitchfoil a little larger than the design you are going to stitch. Remove the paper from the backside of the foil.
Spray the backside of the Stitchfoil with your temporary spray adhesive and press the foil onto the hooped fabric where the design has been outlined.

Step 3:

Embroider the rest of the design on top of the Stitchfoil. There is no need to stop after the tack down stitch like in traditional applique.
Once complete, tear away the excess Stitchfoil.

Step 4:

Fix the Stitchfoil to your material with a heat press or iron and set the temperature to about 330-365 degrees Fahrenheit. Apply pressure for about 15-20 seconds.

Step 5:

Allow to cool and you are all set!
