Tired of store-bought photo booth props? Looking for something more unique? Try making your own props out of embroidery! Embroider your designs on felt (to give good stability), cut the designs out, and hot glue to wooden sticks. Reuse them for bridal showers, birthday parties, or just to play dress up.
Step 1:
PROPS -
Stitch Out Embroidery Design
Follow the design color sequence for thread colors for each design. Look to design hoop size for suggestions on the appropriate hoop to use. Stitch out the chosen design on white felt using cut away stabilizer as a backing.
Step 2:
Cut Out Design
Once stitched, cut out your design leaving a 1/8” border.
Step 3:
Hot Glue Design to Dowe
Attach the cut out design to a 1/8” wooden dowel using hot glue.
Step 4:
You're now ready to have some fun with your new photo booth props!

Step 5:
HOLDER - Decide the Length of Your Vase Sash
Using a tape measure, find the circumference of your vase. Add 1” to this measurement. This will create a 1” overlap when you attach the sash later.
Step 6:
Stitch Out Embroidery Design
Follow the design color sequence for thread colors. Feel free to switch up colors that best fit your wedding. Hoop felt and cutaway stabilizer together in a 5”x7” hoop. Stitch design.
Step 7:
Wrap Fabric
Wrap finished design around your vase. Attach ends together with hot glue.
Step 8:
You're all done and have a great place for your guests to put the props when they are done.
