Materials
  • 1 cotton t-shirt
  • Medium cut away stabilizer
  • 6 thread colors
  • 8" hoop

  • Designs used in this project

    Preface:
This design would also be great to add to a blanket or even a hooded jumper.

    Step 1:
Gather the materials and read through the instructions before beginning. Have a copy of the color sequence on hand

    Step 2:
Decide where you want your embroidery design to sit, I have chosen to have the center of the design 5 ½” down from the neck ribbing. Measure across the width of the shirt and mark the center, then measure down and mark to form a cross hair

    Step 3:
Place the stabilizer and hoop inside the shirt, so they sit between the 2 layers and position it so it they are underneath the design. Place the 2nd part of your hoop ontop of the shirt and use the grid to line up the cross hair you marked. Tighten the hoop then pull the excess shirt from underneath and roll it up around the hoop. Pin if needed to keep it out of the way

    Step 4:
Attach the hoop to your machine and stitch out the design. Once complete, remove the hoop and un-hoop your design

    Step 5:
Turn the shirt inside out and cut away the excess stabilizer. Turn the shirt right side out and press if required.

    Step 6:
Now, sit back and enjoy roasting some marshmallows!
