Materials
  • Fleece ¼ yard
  • Trim with a little stretch

  • Final Product: What You Will Create

    Preface:
    How to Make Your Pattern:
First, you will need to decide on the size to make your boot cuff. Start by putting on a pair of boots that you intend to wear with your cuff.
For the Width: Measure the circumference of your calf at the same place where the top boot reaches. Add 1/4 in for ease and 1 in (1/2 in to each side) for seam allowance.
For the Length: Your boot cuff will fold down around your boot. Therefore, whatever your desired end length is, you’ll want to double this. Our example is 3 inches when folded, so the pattern piece is 6 in long
plus 1 in for the hem. Total: 7 in long.

    Cutting and Sewing Instructions:

    Step 1:
Place your pattern piece with the width running the same way as the stretchy side of your fleece. Pin and cut 2. If you choose to add trim your cuff, use your
pattern to cute two pieces the same measurement as the width.

    Step 2:
Pin and Sew on your trim to the bottom of each piece. I used a zig-zag stitch to allow for more stretch.

    Step 3:
Pin right-sides together at the side seam. Sew and trim the seam allowance close.

    Step 4:
Fold up other edge 1 in and sew to create the hem.

    Step 5:
Wear your boot cuff by putting it on inside out with your trimmed edge towards the top. Then put on your boot and fold the boot cuff over the edge of the boot.

    Step 6:
Monogram your cuff to show your personal style. Voila!
