Even though the embroidery design was meant for stitching directly onto fabric, by stitching it onto nylon organza, the design can be made free standing by using the wood burning tool to melt the fabric from around the design.
Step 1:
Gather the supplies and read through the instructions before beginning. Print out a paper template of the design after the edits are done in software. This is an option. The color changes may also be made at the machine.

Step 2:
Open the embroidery software and import the “Daisy Flowers” embroidery design. Save the design as a new file (this keeps the original intact.) Select all the light colors and change them to white. Select all the centers and change them to gold. Sequence all the white to stitch at once and then sequence all the gold to stitch second. Save the file.

Step 9:
It is easier to stitch on the pearls while the fabric is still in the hoop. Use white thread to stitch a pearl in the center of each flower. Bring the needle up through the back of the center of the flower, place a pearl on the needle, and then bring the needle from the front to the back of the embroidery securing each pearl in place.

Step 10:
Sew a pearl at the center of each flower. Follow the directions carefully for the wood burning tool. Place the blade tip on the tool and heat the tool. Work in well ventilated area.

Step 11:
Starting between the flower pieces, place the tip of the tool on the fabric. Get a feel for the heated tool melting the fabric. Move the tool closer to the embroidery but never touching the edge of the embroidery thread; the fabric will melt back to the thread. Wipe the tip off as needed on a moistened cotton towel. Work carefully around the flowers, melting the fabric back to the thread.

Step 12:
Use a heavy needle and thread to stitch through the flower and into the band of the flip flop (an option is to use glue for this step).

Step 13:
Repeat the steps of sewing the second set of flowers on the flip flop band.

Step 14:
Repeat the steps of sewing the flowers and applying them on the second flip flop. Get a pretty pedi and enjoy your newly Daisy decorated flip flops.
