The use of a stable cut away stabilizer is the key to success in applying filled in embroidery designs on felt. Madeira E-Zee Cut Extra Stable was used in the samples. It is a mid-weight, but soft, cut away. All of the finger puppets are made in the same manner so only one will be shown in these instructions. Stitch the outline and tack down lines as explained; follow the color sequence for each individual design through the next to last color stop; position the back of the finger puppet; stitch the final color stop in a color to match your background felt. Instructions are included to complete the barn appliqued pouch.
