Final Product: What You Will Create

    Preface:
For FSL Angel designs decorated with hot fix crystals that is sure to please use this technique. Great project for gifts or enjoying yourself.

    Step 1:
Hoop the 2 layers of fibrous water soluble making sure they are tight in the hoop and wrinkle free.

    Step 2:

Load the design into your machine. Place matching polyester thread in the top and bobbin of your machine.

    Step 3:
    Sew out design.

    Step 4:
Remove the design from the hoop and trim stabilizer to about ½” around stitching.

    Step 5:
Rinse following directions on stabilizer package. I usually run under warm water until the stabilizer washes away, about 1 minute. Leaving a little stabilizer in the design helps to maintain shape. Blot dry with a lint free towel and lay flat to dry.

    Step 6:
After the design has had a chance to dry lay the FSL Angel on the ITH Pressing Mat. Gather together the hot fix crystals, tweezers and BeJeweler on a work table. The ITH Pressing Mat protects your work table from the heat of the BeJeweler. (See the directions for making the ITH Pressing Mat in the New Embroidery Projects from June 2014 of this web site. It comes in 4 sizes!)

    Step 7:
Lay out the hot fix on the crystals FSL Angel where you think they would look great. The glue on the crystals heats and sets in 3 to 5 seconds so don’t leave the BeJeweler iron on the project for longer than that. Hold the iron upright to affix the crystals flat.

    Step 8:
Use the BeJeweler applicator iron to hot fix the crystals in place. This is the angel on the back side of the pressing mat using the mat to absorb the heat while fixing the crystals on the angel.

    Step 9:
Attach a pretty ribbon and hang on a holiday tree or in an area of your home or office for enjoyment! They make great gifts!

Every year I make ornaments for the family and friends.. 50 in number... This year I made these angels....only the beautiful angels (Six) for immediate family members because they take many minutes for each one to be completed...Normally start my CHRISTmas project in June... this year started in JANUARY and by the middle of June I have the entire set of FSL angels for the family and ALL the rest of the FSL ornaments for everyobe else on my list completed. They worked up so well, and are perfectly beautiful....I'll be proud to give them.

This is a sweet and lovely gift. I have done these without the crystals, but the crystals really make them nice and pre teens love them.
